Stephen’s 3 mindset messages:

  1. Life doesn’t give us what we want, but what we become
  2. The most valuable commodity in life is not money, but time
  3. We all have a message to bring to the world, one of our jobs is to discover this and develop it outwards to contribute and change things

The food

Stephen asked to have steak & chips, but he indicated he would like some great side dish made of special mushrooms.

I love a challenge, so I went to find some unusual mushrooms that you would not eat on a regular basis. I made fried Enoki mushrooms, with marinara sauce. This made up combination, whilst unusual, worked really well as a starter.

Steak was a rib eye with triple cooked chips. I served it with authentic chimichurri sauce.

Great episode! Having read Stephen’s amazing book I was very interested to watch this conversation – and I was not disappointed. It’s a very interesting listen. I particularly enjoyed the part in the second half, exploring how our thoughts impact on our health and wellbeing. This is very much a part of my work. I loved Stephen’s comment, ‘words have wings’ – that will stick with me. Thank you!

Thank you Robyn for such a beautiful comment. ‘Words have wings’ also stuck with me, such a nice expression and exactly what we about when we try to share stories and help others.
